These conditions apply to every visit, search, and use of Anderson County Criminal History. Continuing to browse means that you accept all terms below. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation and is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners may be used for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

Anderson County Criminal History is an independent reference resource. It does not keep official records, conduct government background checks, retrieve files, or submit forms on a visitor's behalf.

Its purpose is to route readers to ACSO, Anderson County courts, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry, and outside tools that may support lawful personal research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only when it is lawful and does not interfere with other visitors. You must not:

  • Violate federal, South Carolina, or local law
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate another person
  • Use content for any decision governed by the FCRA
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or other automated extraction tools
  • Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. South Carolina registry data is published for community safety. Misuse against a listed person, vigilantism, or retaliation can violate state law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website does not prepare consumer reports, credit files, or FCRA background checks. Visitors may not use site content or linked results for:

  • Employment or volunteer screening decisions
  • Rental or other housing eligibility
  • Credit or lending decisions
  • Insurance eligibility, rates, or underwriting
  • Any other purpose governed by the FCRA

A legally compliant screening need must be handled through SLED or another authorized, FCRA-compliant provider, as applicable.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Anderson County records and South Carolina procedure are not legal advice. A licensed South Carolina attorney should address how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to a specific matter.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided “as is.” No promise is made that:

  • Information will always be complete, accurate, or current
  • The website will operate without interruption
  • Pages will be free from errors or security flaws
  • A partner search will return a full or correct match

Government records and office procedures change. Only the originating Anderson County or South Carolina agency can issue an official statement or current copy.

14. Severability
